Board Discussions on PHC Issues

On Thursday and Friday, October 15-16, there were lots of discussions surrounding PHC themes going on in the new PHC offices at GBIM headquarters in Winona Lake.  The meetings were in advance of full PHC board meetings scheduled for the weekend after Thanksgiving, November 27-28th and were possible because the PHC board president, Central African David Zokoe, was here in the USA.

Among the items discussed was the prospect of building a PHC High school in the future, Hand-in-Hand schools, an overview of the progress made in PHC’s ministry in the past 12 months, academic excellence attained and the continued pursuit, and the improvement of correspondence between orphan and sponsor.  Though no decisions were made – impossible when only part of the board meets – we made great progress thinking through issues, which will expedite discussions when the full board meets.

Please PRAY for the meeting of the full board on November 27-28th, for harmony, for clear thinking, and that love would allow for full unity in spite of the challenges that different languages and cultures present.  The PHC board is comprised of equal numbers of Central Africans and expatriates (non-Central Africans) members so that no one culture will dominate.  Both cultures have equal opportunity to show love and grace.
